Enrollment

The Children's House of Miss Tammie  uses the hands-on Montessori method of instruction, utilizing Dr. Maria Montessori's innovative materials to aid in learning. We provide extended learning opportunities in core subjects: Math, Science, Language, Reading, Writing, History, Geography, Sensorial lessons, and Practical Life lessons. In addition, we offer Art and Sign-Language.  Parents may also choose:  Dance, Piano lessons, as well as Soccer offered on site by independent organizations.

Field Trips

We enjoy regular visits every other week to the Regents Park for swimming.  We also enjoy field trips to the Museum of Science and Industy as well as other popular attraction around the Chicagoland area.  In the winter, we go Ice Skating on the Midway located on the University of Chicago Campus.  We have apple and pumpkin picking schedualed this fall with much much more.
